I have an old postcard titled Sprays Bridge Farm, which shows a small house with a signpost in front pointing to Seddlescombe. Above the house door can be seen some lettering that reads something like this: S I G A:E 50 Whatever that might mean. I'd be happy to email a scan to anyone with family connections to this Farm. Andy, I had relatives living at Sprays Bridge in 1861! Spraysbridge Farm is on the junction of the road from Westfield to Sedlecombe, where Sprays Lane (comes from the A21) joins it. Is that confusing? The 1066 CountryWalk goes right through there. It is a little way out of Westfield though. Hope this helps. |

Can anyone please tell me if there is (or was) a house, area or farm etc. in the Westfield area called 'Sprays Bridge' or similar? Apparently I lived there as a small child. Many thanks, Andy. |
